As Andrew Lincoln told us, he was shocked and kind of excited by the reveal. My instinct was, what a great storytelling device. That was my instinct, he says. I thought it was very interesting. While Lincoln would not confirm whether that scene does, in fact, represent the time jump from the comics, he doesnt deny that it is some sort of look into the future.
